The layaway program is for customers who are sure they want a Golden
Eagle Log Home, but are 6-16 months away from starting. A $750.00
initial layaway payment, plus monthly payments of $350.00 is all
it takes to freeze your log home package pricing for up to 16 months.
A plan service fee of $0.50 per square foot for blueprints is also
required. The $750.00 initial layaway payment and the monthly payments
will be applied to your 10% down payment.
Why do this? The layaway program freezes your price on your log
home package as of the date of your $750.00 initial layaway payment,
possibly saving you 6% to 12% in inflation. The program also helps
Golden Eagle Log Homes plan inventory purchasing more precisely.
You are required to take delivery of your log home package any
time within the 16-month period; just give us 60 days notice prior
to your anticipated ship date. The 10% down payment must be paid
in full at this time. If your building plans change, the money paid
on account will be refunded, less the plan service fee and any administrative
and/or engineering costs. There is a 30-day grace period for late
payments. After 30 days, Golden Eagle Log Homes has the right to
terminate your proposal and raise the package price up to current
levels.
Standard Payment Plan
So you want to place an order for your new Golden Eagle Log Home
package and are going to start building in the near future. Heres
what you need to know:
Lets use the typical $85,000.00 package example. The minimum
down payment is 10% of the log home package price. To process the
order, we must receive $8,500.00 from you in the form of a cashiers
check, wire transfer or cash. This leaves a balance due of $76,500.00,
not including any change orders you may have. Golden Eagle Log Homes
must receive a certified check or wire transfer for the amount of
$42,500.00 (plus any change order payments that are due) at least
two business days before the truck departs with your first shipment.
This amount is 50% of your log home package proposal. When the rough-in
shipment (exterior doors, plumbing fixtures, fireplace, split
log, windows, etc.) is scheduled for delivery, Golden Eagle Log
Homes must receive the remaining 40% due, which would be $34,000.00
(plus any change order payments that are due), in the form of a
certified check or wire transfer at least two business days before
the truck departs with your shipment.
If you will be financing your home, please contact your lending
institution to confirm they will comply with the log home package
payment schedule. Some larger financial institutions use title companies
to disburse your money. Some title companies may hold (invest) your
money for up to three weeks without paying subcontractors. One reason
why Golden Eagle Log Homes can offer such competitive prices is
that all our customers pay two business days before delivery. If
your financial institution is unable to comply, call M&T Mortgage
at 1-888-536-2572. They will finance all over the United States.
